Sam Walton, founder of Wal-Mart, the largest retail chain in the world was ranked as the richest man in the United States from 1982 to 1988. If he was still alive today his personal fortune would be greater than that of Bill gates with his heirs sharing a fortune of over $100 Billion. Sam lived an “early to bed early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise” life starting work around 4 a.m. to get a head start on his executives by reviewing the sales report from the previous day. Wal-Mart’s executives taking the lead from their boss started work at 5 a.m. knowing that when the executives from their competitors started their day they had already completed a few hours’ effective work and meetings.
